RESULTS?
This product was a free sample that accompanied my Olay Body Wash plus Spa Exfoliating Ribbons, which I finally got after hearing Meagan rave about it nonstop! (Love it, by the way - smells great, makes you softer, lathers up nicely…) I was intrigued by the notion of a self-heating foot scrub, and of course I have rough patches on my feet that I’d like to soften up for sandal season. Well, the Thermal Pedicure certainly lives up to the "thermal" part of its name! I’m not sure exactly how it works, but when you rub it on in the shower, it gets hot. As I massaged my feet with the gritty cream, my alarm began to grow - exactly how hot would it get?! Not to worry, however, as the heat only lasts for about 5 to 10 seconds. After that it’s just a standard exfoliating scrub, albeit an effective one. I did notice that my feet seemed softer immediately afterwards. However, the stubbon patches of dead skin that have built up on the bottoms of my feet are still there! I have to admit that I haven’t used it everyday though - maybe 4 times in the past week - so there’s still hope on that front.
PROS: Affordable (under $10). Easy to use. Makes good on the self-heating claim. Softens feet after just one use.
CONS: The heat can actually be a little uncomfortable, although it’s countered by the fact that it doesn’t last long. Hasn’t completely taken care of all of my rough patches (yet).
FINAL WORD? Worth your $$
