I have a long history with waxing - I’ve done bikini, Brazilian, at the salon…mostly at the salon. I’ve tried waxing at home before but it was messy, awkward, painful and just not effective. That was awhile ago though and I thought I’d give it another shot. I literally just chose at random Parissa wax strips when I was shopping at Ulta the other day. I thought, hmm, these seem all right. And when I was checking out, the woman ringing me up was like, "These are great! Aren’t these great?" she asked the other woman working. They agreed and it was a bit of a relief to me. In fact, she said, they tend to sell out of them. So I went home and actually looked forward to my waxing experience. Funny, since I thought I’d be dreading it. I’m here to tell you:
These are great!
I’m not sure if I’ll need to go to a salon again. These wax strips were so easy to use: They are double-sided and you just warm them up between your hands (which I was skeptical about, but it worked!) and then you apply it to the area you are waxing in the direction of the hair, pull off in the opposite direction and you’re done. It really is not painful - the wax adheres to just the hair - I’ve found waxing hurts the most when the wax holds onto your skin more than it should. I did have to do some tweezing to clean up after, but I’m pretty sure that is because it was my first time and I’ll get better at it. They also include a small bottle of Azulene oil to clean up any wax residue and to prevent ingrown hairs. Seriously, I can’t rave about these enough. I highly recommend them:
- Easy to use
- Very low pain factor
- Easy clean up
- Way more private, for the modest
- Only $9 - and I didn’t use the whole box. That’s a lot better than $30 minimum at a salon! To find a place to buy near you, click HERE
