Here’s a great hair reminder from Chris McMillan, Allure’s Hair Guy:

This is a trick I learned in beauty school: You can create volume and a whole different look when you switch your part. Your hair will automatically have more lift at the roots. And people will probably ask you if you got a haircut, because they won’t be able to put a finger on what’s different. (Allure, 1/09, pg. 48)

This seems like a “no duh” kind of tip but for some reason I always forget about it. My hair usually falls down the middle but it is kind of amazing the difference that happens when I part it from one side to the other. Different looks for left versus right parting. And it is such a foolproof hair adjustment that it is a simple way to shake things up daily.
