I can’t put my finger on why, exactly, but I’ve been absolutely obsessing about motorcycle boots lately! I think it started when I realized that the only tall boots I have are knee-high boots with heels and zippers up the side. They’re very cute, but I’ve found myself growing increasingly jealous of women that I spot traipsing around town in their tough-yet-comfy-looking flat boots. As I pondered what kind of boots I wanted, suddenly it popped into my head: Motorcycle boots! I’ve been thinking about them nonstop ever since, wondering how long it will take me to hoard up the necessary cash to invest in a pair. (Yes, I’m going to resist the urge to charge them! Um, hopefully.) Seeing this recent pic of Anne Hathaway looking great in her classic Frye boots isn’t helping matters. That is exactly the look I’m going for! And then when the weather warms up I can wear them with flowy floral dresses to counter the femininity! And they’ll look great with black tights and denim skirts! Ahh, I need these boots! You can buy the exact pair that Anne is wearing for around $198, or you can go for a slightly more affordable version, like these Hopperr boots by Steve Madden, currently on sale for $134.91 - not super cheap, but $60 is a lot of money, am I right? Then again, maybe it would make sense to really invest in a pair of boots; the Fryes do look better constructed, and with care, they could literally last you forever. (Plus, the price is really not unheard of for boots.) What do you think of my footwear fixation?
