If anyone has suffered from the irritation and downright pain of an eye stye, you know how awful it can be.  I was unlucky enough to have one during the past week.  I did some Googling and this was what I found:

1.  An eye stye is the result of an infected oil gland.  It occurs at the base of the eyelash and can often resemble a pimple.

2.  Do not try to pop the stye, as you may force the infection into your bloodstream.

3.  The best treatment for a stye is to place warm compresses over the infected area twice daily.

4.  If your stye lasts longer than a week, see your doctor.

5.  Replace your mascara and other eye makeup.  You can spread the infection.

I followed the tip on the warm compress.  While it didn’t get rid of the stye immediately, it was gone the next morning.  Do you know of any other treatments for a style?
