I don’t know what’s going on, but I was even more bored with the bland fashions at last night’s SAG Awards than I was with those at the recent Golden Globes. By and large, everyone looked lovely, but no one blew me away. No one, that is, except Evan Rachel Wood.
Evan was one of my picks for Best Dressed at the Golden Globes, and I am even more enamored of this ensemble: She looks absolutely resplendent in a floor-length, one-shoulder Monique Lhuillier gown in a stunning shade of teal. The color is unexpected yet classic, and it complements her hair and skin tones gorgeously. Her accessories are also perfect, from the elegant bird brooch at her shoulder to the electric purple clutch and Sergio Rossi heels, which add a surprisingly powerful jolt of color. My prediction? This gown will set off a wave of teal love with fashionistas everywhere. I know I’m suddenly dying to get my hands on anything in this complex, blue-green shade.
