If you’re a Sex and the City fanatic, you undoubtedly know that the real Carrie Bradshaw isn’t Sarah Jessica Parker or even Candace Bushnell, but rather the show’s flamboyantly fabulous costume designer, Patricia Field. Patricia always outfitted Carrie in clothes that were very sexy, very rock & roll, and usually a little over-the-top. If you’re really feeling the spirit of sartorial adventure, you can even order some of the exact styles that Carrie sports in the movie for yourself.

The studded belt is an edgy waist cincher, perfect for tossing over a little black dress. The tight black "flower dress" is a bit harder to imagine on a woman in real life, as it teeters precariously on the line between sexy and silly, just as Carrie often did; I say, if you can pull it off, go for it! The unusual black leather half gloves are also outrageous, but a bit easier to incorporate into an outfit that needs some downtown flair. But hurry! The belt isn’t available until mid-July, but pre-sale orders have already begun, and since the dress and gloves have already sold out (check the website to see when they replenish their stock), it’s safe to assume the belt will do the same. Even if you consider yourself a Charlotte, Miranda or Samantha otherwise, don’t you agree that every woman deserves a little Carrie in her closet?
