selmaMeagan’s post on the eternal elegance of wearing black & white reminded of a little factoid I learned recently from Allure: Selma Blair apparently has an “official” fashion color scheme that she adheres to - offscreen, her wardrobe is composed entirely of black and white clothes, with the occasional splash of gray. At first, I was skeptical, but a quick Google image search seemed to confirm the truth - everywhere I looked, Selma was in black, white, gray, or some combination thereof! (The one exception being a sassy red flapper dress that she wore on the red carpet.) The lazy part of me loves this idea; it reminds me of how easy it was to get dressed every morning for high school, when I had to wear a uniform. Part of me hated the lack of sartorial variety, but another, bigger part of me was extremely grateful that I didn’t have to put any thought into choosing an outfit at 7 in the morning. This seems like a much more sophisticated take on that. So what do you think? Would you ever commit to a fashion color scheme?

Have you ever thought about limiting your wardrobe to a specific set of colors?
