Shoes are one of the most extravagant apparel purchases a woman can make. Perhaps we’ve all been conditioned by Sex and the City, but it seems to me that women are more willing than ever to spend hundreds, if not thousands, on pricey designer shoes - or at least covet them. You know where I stand on the issue: I’m just as excited about great finds at Payless or TJ Maxx as I am about fancy new pumps by Prada or Miu Miu. Had I the enviable financial resources, however, I wouldn’t hesitate to drop $690 on these gorgeous glitter slingbacks by Christian Louboutin:

But I think the under $1000 range would have be where I drew the line, no matter how expansive my bank account. I just don’t think I could justify spending more than that on a single pair of shoes! But what do you think? If you had the means would you splurge on, say, these $14,000 alligator boots by Manolo Blahnik?

Not extravagant enough. big spender? Then try these Stuart Weitzman Cinderella Slippers, dripping with over five hundred platinum-set diamonds, on for size:

They’ll only set you back about, oh…two million dollars. Thanks, but no thanks! If I had that kind of spending money, I’d like to think that I’d donate it to charity instead. But how do you feel about uber-expensive footwear?

How much would you spend on luxury footwear if money was no object?
