Except for a brief flirtation with the bob in high school, and an even shorter affair with the pixie cut back when I first started college, I’ve always been a long hair girl. The length fluctuates somewhat, usually hovering somewhere below my shoulders but above my lower back, but by and large I like to keep it on the long side. If you’re into lengthy locks like me, you’ve probably noticed that there are hair care products for just about every cut, color, style and texture under the sun - except for long hair. Until now, that is, thanks to two new forays into long hair care by Pantene and Herbal Essences.

Pantene has introduced Beautiful Lengths, which features shampoo, conditioner and a 2-in-1 shampoo + conditioner that would be perfect for travel (I always bring 2-in-1’s on the road because they free up space in your bag and cut down on shower time!), while Herbal Essences encourages you to have a Long Term Relationship with your hair. The Herbal Essences line is particularly exciting, because in addition to shampoo and conditioner they also have a leave-in split end protector…not to mention the fact that everything smells like sweet raspberries. Both lines promise to promote growth while protecting and strengthening hair. (Surely this means that these products would also be perfect for ladies looking to grow their short hair out.)  Personally, I’m just happy to finally have a formula especially for long hair. Makes me feel all special.
