Lindsay at the Sephora launch for her Sevin Nyne tanning spray.
Meagan reported on the launch of spray tan aficionado Lindsay Lohan’s Sevin Nyne tanning spray (currently available at Sephora) way back in March, when the story first broke. Since Lindsay is notorious for looking a bit, um, orange, most were doubtful about her foray into the self-tanning world; however, the spray’s unique formula - which includes goji berries, Chardonnay extracts, and caramel in a sweet-smelling sugar-coconut base - won over many detractors. Now the New York Daily News is reporting that a Florida chemist named Jennifer Sunday has brought a lawsuit against LiLo for allegedly stealing that very formula! Apparently, Sunday was in negotiations with Lindsay and her Sevin Nyne partner, Lorit Simon, but the two parties were unable to reach an agreement in regards to pricing. Then, according to Sunday’s attorney, “The next thing we know, Lorit Simon and Lindsay Lohan are partnering and Ms. Lohan is taking credit for developing this formula, which she indeed had no role in.” Sunday is now suing for a cut of Sevin Nyne’s profits.
What do you think of this potential self-tanning scandal?
