ABC’s Ugly Betty became a hit by focusing on a rather unusual lead character for a primetime sitcom: An awkward, haphazardly dressed female protagonist, played by American Ferrera, who just so happens to work at a fashion magazine. Viewers love Betty, braces, big glasses, cringeworthy clothes and all. But with season 4 on the horizon, you’d better get ready for an all new Betty: Entertainment Weekly reports that test audiences have been viewing scenes from the upcoming season that showcase Betty’s newfound fashion sense. Not only will Betty be wearing ensembles like “a Chanel-esque pastel pink suit” and “a short-sleeved black dress with a ruffled V-neck,” she’ll also have “new hair, styled eyebrows, and makeup.” According to one producer, the braces will even be coming off this season!
