I don’t mean to alarm you, but The Cut is reporting on a disturbing new trend in men’s fashion: Leggings for men, or - are you ready for this? - “meggings.” Apparently men’s leggings have been on the runways for a while now, and they finally seem to be trickling out onto the streets in certain fashion-forward cities like New York, Paris and Tokyo. Fortunately, men seem to be embracing these as more of a layering element than a stand-alone piece, wearing them under shorts - still a silly look, in my opinion, but at least it sidesteps the potential for, uh, obscenity. Still, I’m of the mind that only the following men should wear tights in public: Dancers, when necessary, and…um…superheros? But enough about me - what do you think of meggings?
