One of my favorite things in Lucky’s September issue was a pair of very cute, Victorian-inspired "mod ankle boots" that the magazine offered as part of their "Style on the Street" feature to some lucky ladies in Chicago. Usually, when I’m interested in a particular item in a fashion magazine, it is with abject despair that I glance down the page to find the price, because everything I like is invariably well out of my price range. But these boots? These I can swing! And I won’t even have to use my credit card.
I love these boots! The height, the heel, the side buttons, the muted gray color (they’re also available in black, but I think the gray will prove to be every bit as versatile and much more interesting). And of course I love that they’re only $34.99 - a huge steal for boots, which obviously tend to be more expensive than "regular" shoes. You could wear these with dark, skinny jeans and one of the new longer cardigan, as in Lucky, or with thick stockings and a dress for a chic autumn look. These will definitely carry you through the fall, and you won’t have to feel guilty about splurging. Lovely!
