I’ve been thinking about fall a lot lately.  I don’t know if it’s because it’s been hot and muggy here in LA and I’m craving some respite or if I’m missing NY and daydreaming about all the fun things I could wear in autumn, but I’ve been casually window-shopping many an online site for their fall pieces.  And I’ve found a piece that I am shamelessly drawn to:  The lovely Flannel Shirt Dress you see to your left. 

Let me explain:

1.  I love shirt dresses.

2.  Flannel is making a comeback (trust me).

3.  I have a history with red flannel. 

(I had a red flannel jacket in 7th grade, that was my dad’s, that I wore whenever I got the chance.  But since I’m from FL, that wasn’t often.  I recently found some pictures of me wearing it on a trip to Atlanta.  I went with three friends that all wore cute, fitted jean jackets. I wore my big, oversized red flannel with pride.  And I stood awkwardly out.)  

But I loved that 7th grade girl that loved her fashion no matter what her friends were wearing!  And I want her back.
