I know I’ve mentioned my favorite nail polish blog, All Lacquered Up, before. ALU is truly the best online destination I’ve come across for all things polish-related: The latest shades, the hottest collections, fantastic photos and thorough descriptions. I always end up wanting polishes that I didn’t even know existed! But this might be the best post I’ve encountered on All Lacquered Up to date: Feast your eyes on Frankenpolish! Part mad scientist, part beauty junkie, the art of nail polish color customization (not to be confused with layering colors on the nail itself) involves combining different shades of polish in a separate bottle to create a new shade that’s completely unique. ALU offers a little how-to on the subject, and a link to Makeup Alley’s Frankenpolish Notepad. This fabulous resource offers valuable tips for beginners and lots of intriguing "recipes." Some of these shades are gorgeous, so much prettier than anything you can find in a store - and the best part is, the sky is the limit! You can create any color you want!
