I admit, however, that it would be ludicrous to spend $48 for Lancome’s ebony & scarlet lip duo, especially in the current economy. But fear not, fellow gloss experimentalists! ‘Tis the season for finding morbid makeup on the cheap, and on a
recent trip to Rite Aid I found just the thing to fulfill all my black & red dreams: Wet’n'Wild has a seasonal line of Halloween-appropriate cosmetics called Fantasy Makers, and Fantasy Makers offers these tiny little tubes of gloss for a mere 99 cents each. Not only are these astoundingly cheap and outfitted with a clasp so you can throw them on your keychain or clip them to your purse, but the gloss is actually good! It’s well-pigmented and very shiny, and the two together create the perfect dark lip for fall. Plus, they’re so small that they’ll probably start to run out just as the trend starts to fade. Two bucks versus $48? I’ll take my Fantasy Makers, thanks!
