seamsI am now officially obsessed with the idea of wearing seamed stockings backwards - so the seams run up the front of your legs, not the back - after seeing it in a Coach ad. (If you have the new issue of Glamour with Nicole Kidman on the cover you might know which ad I’m talking about - flip to page 67 to check it out.) It looks so unexpected and sexy! Yet there is a problem: I can’t find sheer knee high socks with visible seams anywhere. I suppose you could try folding down a pair of thigh highs, or just wearing a pair of regular seamed tights backwards (I love this pair - which unfortunately only seem to be available at the U.K. Urban Outfitters - because they’re totally nude except for the bright pop of color from the seam itself), although I wonder how comfortable that would be. In any case, not only has this ad put me on the hunt for seamed knee highs that could be worn backwards, it’s also challenged me to reimagine all sorts of items lurking in my closet or dresser. What else could I turn upside down or backwards or inside out or sideways!? The mind boggles. Are you with me on this little fashion revolution or do you think I just need to calm down and turn the page?
