I will admit it:  I am someone who needs to shave her underarms on a daily basis.  I accept that as my shaving fate.  One of my friends disliked shaving under her arms everyday so much that she decided to laser those pesky hairs away.  And now Unilever is launching a new deodorant next year that claims to minimize hair growth, making shaving less of a problem. Through their Sure and Dove lines they will offer "hair-minimizing roll-ons and sprays" that will make hair "less noticeable, finer and easier to remove," according to DailyMail.  It should take about four weeks of use before you see a difference and if you stop using the deodorant, hair growth will return to normal pretty quickly.  Sounds like a clever marketing claim to me.  Use our product:  Be patient and you’ll see results; Give up and you’re doomed to extra-hairiness.  

I don’t know though.  As much as I dislike my underarm hair, I haven’t gotten to the point of lasering.  And the idea that this deodorant slows hair growth is kind of scary.  Especially with all the breast-cancer-paranoia that already encompasses the world of anti-perspirants.  Of course, Unilever says that "It is critically important for Unilever not to launch anything that is potentially risky."  Thanks for that reassurance.  Of note, the use of the deodorant on other hairy parts of the body is not recommended.  Maybe I’m being too wary, though.  I’ll turn the debate over to you:
