solid

If you decided to get crafty this holiday season by making your own lip balms and bath products and you happen to have some extra beeswax and essential oils laying around, then I have another project for you: Solid Perfumes.  BellaSugar has a breakdown on how to make your own solid perfumes, courtesy of famed perfumer Mandy Aftel.  She outlines the straightforward way to concoct some solid scents and even sells antique cases to house them in on her website.  The antiques are out of my price range but they give you a good idea of what to look for, so I would hit up my local flea market to see if I could find any pretty gems.   Or even head over to Ann Taintor for cheeky containers.  Either way, solid perfumes would be a fun way to experiment with scents and to personalize gift-giving this season.  Seriously, with all of these do-it-yourself tips you could be the next Carol’s Daughter!
